ABOUT NATURE CONNECT

animals-natural-logoAnamalai’s Natural History Society (ANHS) is a non-profit organisation, aimed at conservation of bio-diversity in the Anamalai’s range of the Western Ghats, through scientific research and observation. The Anaimalai Natural History Society was started by a group of individuals who are nature lovers and are keen in the Conservation and protection of the bio-diversity in the Anaimalai’s.
nature-logo As a part of our initiative, we have teamed up with Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology & Natural History (SACON), Anaikatti, aiming to create ecological awareness and instill nature observation skills amongst school children in and around Pollachi.

The following 5 broad subjects of study have been identified for the current year, 1. Study of Human Associated Birds 2. Study of Wetland Birds 3. Study of Farmland Birds 4. Study of Woodland Birds 5. Study of birds within the school campus. Each of the participating school shall form 5 teams so as to take up all the above listed projects.
